Litigating a drowning case: Practice tips and the Law
Drowning ranks 5th among the leading causes of unintentional injury death in the U.S. Children ages 1 to 4 have the highest drowning rates (more than 30% of deaths in this age group from unintentional injury occur from drowning). Among children ages 1 to 14, fatal drowning remains the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death.
If you have a personal injury practice, is likely that you have been or will be consulted concerning a drowning or near drowning. The CLE will provide you with the information you will need to effectively handle a drowning case from intake call to closing argument. Additionally, among other documents, numerous discovery materials, motions, and memoranda will also be provided.
