Russell Lewis is originally from Phoenix, AZ, but grew up in Crossville, TN. After graduating high school he went on to attend Walters State University on a basketball scholarship before transferring and then graduating from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance then going on to receive a Master of Business Administration in 2002. Russell was then accepted into the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN and graduated in 2005. While attending Law school he received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Methods and the CALI Award for Professional Responsibility.

Since entering into private practice Russell concentrates his practice primarily on the areas of nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, and serious personal injury.
