Memphis attorney Vincent Perryman discusses Holistic Law with Maureen T. Holland Part 1

Memphis attorney Vincent Perryman discusses Holistic Law with Maureen T. Holland and what Holistic Law entails. Holistic Law basically goes back to the historical purpose of attorneys. Memphis Attorneys were originally the role models, problem solvers and counselors. It incorporates information from other disciplines like psychology to learn how to deal with an angry client to going into the research on how to solve the problem not just litigiously, but also at the root of the problem as a whole.

Holistic Law can be practiced in any legal area such as probate, employment law, or criminal law. The idea is to be as civil in your practice area as possible by being a problem solver rather than settling the suits in the traditional legal manner. A holistic approach is to solve the legal problem by finding out what your client needs rather than just trying to solve the problem monetarily.

Some reasons a client may want to use a Holistic Attorney is to obtain an outcome from a matter other than money by getting a resolution to the problem. Generally these problems are solved by focusing on the client and listening to the problem. Most Memphis clients want their story to be heard. A Holistic Attorney generally listens to the whole story of the client. In most cases the client only wants an apology rather than a monetary solution.

This usually results in a much happier client when an outcome is reached.

Holistic Law is defined as changing the practice of law so it is more civil, more needs based, more conscience, and more collaborative. Holistic Law uses collaboration to solve divorces in a team effort rather than one party against the other party. It relies heavily on mediators, independent individuals without bias, to come in and help reach a solution amicably. Approaching divorce outside of the courtroom rather than bringing legal battles that go on forever. This is a much less expensive manner for dissolving marriages and settling divorces. This also helps because everyone is working to a common goal and everyone is speaking rather than fighting to solve the problem. This helps resolve issues with taxes and other areas that both parties will still be connected to for a while.

Holistic Law also tries to look at the non-economic side of legal matters when reaching a resolution. This manner of legal practice can also take some of the stress off Memphis Attorneys by taking some of the negativity out of the work of attorneys. A Memphis lawyer that is always fighting legal matters in a combative manner is more likely to have health issues because they are always on the defense and stressed.
